What is Aerochat?

Aerochat is an instant messaging service styled to look like Windows Live Messenger 2009.

Why does it exist?

Aerochat exists because of a lack of options. But also, why not? Why not restore something that helps people communicate, meet new people, and have fun?

Is my information safe?

Yes. Aerochat uses encryption to protect your sensitive info (passwords and cookie data), and it's part of the Aero Live family, which is encrypted itself. Neither I nor any other developers can access your account.

Is there a Web App?

No. While it might be wanted, there are some security concerns with it.

What functionality is missing?

Aerochat is still in early development, so there are a few features missing. However, the most important features will be implemented, such as servers, DMs, and more:

• Calling people
• Emoji picker
• Setting statuses
• User customization

Is Aerochat worth using?

It depends on what your use case is. If you want features that are standard in messaging apps like Discord, you should not use Aerochat. Aerochat is still in early development, which means there are features missing that would be standard.
